What family means to you? Is family a Mom and a Dad? Is family a friend, or other family member? Is it a husband, a wife. Is it a child of yours that needs your love and attention? Could it be a pet that waits for you to come home at night?
A family can be many different things to many different people. It even could be office staff that are like family to you if you go home to an empty house.
I grew up with about 100 in our family because my grandpa and grandma had 8 children. I myself came from a broken home, but there were family members that helped take care of me. So, I know what a real family is like.
I can't imagine being alone in this world without a family. I don't know what family means to you, but whatever it is as long as you feel loved that is all that really matters. If you don't have love in your family then to me there's something missing. Something that you need to fix.
I know of many homes where people are too concerned with themselves to reach out and love someone else. People need to quit thinking of themselves so much and need to help others and shower them with love.
You know when all is said and done and when you leave this world you need to ask yourself this one question "Did I make a difference?" "What did I do while I was here? Did I show others love and affection?"
I have been thinking about this lately and I had to ask myself this question. If I left this world tonight did I make some kind of a difference for anyone? Did I show them love and really mean it? If you know me, I always say that life is so short. I really mean it. If you want to make a difference in someone's life then there's no better time than now. It's never too late. There's many different ways to show love to someone else.
Isn't that one thing that a family is for? To show love and affection? It doesn't matter what kind of house we have, how much money we have, what job we have, but what really matters in life is how much love we show towards one another.
You see that one feeling that means so much is something that you can't put a price on. Try to put a price on it and see what you come up with? Can you put a price on a young couple just getting married with love in their hearts? Can you put a price on someone helping a begger on the street by helping them with some food? Helping someone who has a terminal illness and taking some of the load off? Helping by contributing some funds to a worthy organization who helps to serve the poor and homeless? Can you put a price on a young mother just giving birth to her first child? The love that a mother and father has for their children?
The day that our Jesus died on the cross for our sins because he loved us so much. I can't imagine that kind of love, can you?
You see that is one of the greatest gifts that Jesus gave to us is loving one another. Love your neighbor, love your spouse, child, pet, etc. (I have added pets in there as being a part of your family as I know a lot of people that love their pets, and to them they are like family). So, whoever or whatever family means to you don't forget to shower your family with your love.
Make a difference in this world by sharing your love for one another. And, remember a home is what you make it love and all.
I hope and pray that your home is blessed with much love.
