As a Muslim, keeping your wife happy is not just good for your marriage, it is a great thing for your spiritual life as well as it earns you reward from Allah, thus moving you closer to paradise. Prophet Muhammad (Peace and Blessing of Allah be Upon Him) used to love his wives affectionately, and he used to make sure that he keeps them happy at all times. If you want to keep your wife happy, just as your Prophet did, following are some tips to guide you:
Show Love to Her
Don't just keep telling your wife "I love you", show the love to her. Kiss her tenderly on her lips or cheeks as you come back from work and smile at her with affection from time to time. As a husband, one of your fundamental responsibilities is to keep your wife happy. Look at her with affection and with open heart; let her know that your heart belongs to her and respect her feelings as far as you can. When you're going out for work, hug her tightly then release her fondly; hold her hands and kiss them before you finally wave bye-bye to her.
Flirt With Her
Oh! Yes! You can turn your companion on with a good flirt. Look at your darling deep in her eyes and tell her, "You're mind-blowingly enthralling, enchanting, and endearing". This sort of flirt not only keeps your wife happy, it will earn you reward from Allah as well. Prophet Muhammad (Peace be Upon Him) said: "when a husband and wife look at each other with love, Allah looks at both of them with mercy" (Bukhari).
Treat Her Gently
Don't be harsh on your wife; it's an infringement to your marriage in Islam. Treat your wife kindly and listen to her carefully, especially when you disagree. Be very close to her particularly during her period and pregnancy as she needs your affection the most during these times. Be as tolerant as you can to your sweet partner. Women are emotional and being calm and not cruel to your spouse makes her joyful all the times.
Make Her Feel Secure
Do the things that keeps her safe and secure. For example, when she's mad at you for some reasons, even if you think you're innocent, cover her with compassion. Get down to her and explain why you're innocent. Don't be haughty; always know that you're the Man for her. Let her derive comfort and security from you.
Help Her with House Chores
When she is cooking in the kitchen; for example, be there for her and lend her some hands of assistance. Help her wash the dishes or ask her if you can pour some water in that rice she's cooking. And when the meal is heating up on the cooker, put some hand on her shoulder or kiss her to cool her up. This will be a good turn on for your wife and will definitely make her happy.
Avoid Anger
You don't want to keep your face grim all day for your wife, that will make her unhappy and depressed. If you're hot-tempered, keep wudu (ablution) all the times it helps in controlling your anger. Never allow your hot temper displease your dear wife.
It's very rewarding in Islam to keep your wife in high spirit at all the times. Practicing the above tips is easy and fun. As a Muslim, keeping your spouse happy is your major priority; therefore, do all the things you can, at your disposal, to keep your wife happy.
